Genève

I admittedly know very little about Geneva, except for its association with the United Nations, Red Cross, and as a financial center. We had almost a full day to try and immerse ourselves into the city and get a better sense of its character.

The Old City is full of reminders of its key role in the Protestant Reformation.

We braved the bus/trolley system (FAR easier than its Italian counterpart) to visit the free visitor exhibit of CERN.

We then rounded out the day by strolling around the lakeside and the Old City center…complete with a fantastic meal of risotto and vegetable couscous.

Long trip home the next day, over Greenland and the northern extremes of Canada.
